Jimmy Carter—the 39th president of the United States, who died on Dec. 29 at 100—was laid to rest at the Georgia home he shared with wife Rosalynn Carter.

A special military honor guard and honorary pallbearers carried Carter's casket out of the cathedral and into a motorcade. Members of the Armed Forces Chorus and the cathedral's choir are singing "Crown Him With Many Crowns" accompanied by the US Marine Orchestra.
