Several House Republicans arrived White House on Wednesday morning for meetings as the president presses his party to pass the sweeping legislation.

In a warning sign of some House Republican resistance, a resolution setting up terms for debating Trump’s bill barely cleared out of the House Rules Committee on Wednesday morning, with two GOP members — Reps. Chip Roy of Texas and Ralph Norman of South Carolina — siding with Democrats in voting against it.

Fiscal hawks have concerns over the legislation’s ballooning price and some moderate conservatives are uneasy about steeper cuts to Medicaid.
