Amazon S3 on MSNHe Built the Biggest Steam Tractor Ever Made in his Garage: 150 CASE
We were passing by South Dakota and it was impossible for us to not attend the John Deere plows at the James Valley Threshing Show. Of course the main attraction was the GIANT 150 Case steam tractor.
The tractor, with its familiar green and yellow paint job, was a Deere, and I was a mere 5 miles from where John Deere invented his first plow in 1837. It was the beginning of an empire.
Men on the tractor kept the boiler fed with coal. For Prairie Plowing Days, 20 tons of it has been purchased and hauled in from Chelsea, Okla.
