The Port of Los Angeles will soon have its first electric tug as electric boat company Arc Boat makes its first foray into commercial marine.

The boat's captain was Dennis Cooley, 50, of Cathlamet, an experienced skipper. The first mate and chief engineer were experienced tug crewmen as well.
