The Washington Commanders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 Sunday night to win their first playoff game in 19 years. Coincidently, they beat the team they faced in that last playoff win in 2006.

Jayden Daniels marched the Commanders down field and set up a game-winning field goal attempt for Zane Gonzalez from 37 yards out with just three seconds left on the clock. Gonzalez's kick blasted off the right upright and went through the posts, giving Washington a 23–20 lead as time expired.

Jayden Daniels and the Commanders delivered Washington's first playoff win in nearly 19 years. The celebration was short-lived as they turn their attention to the next challenge of playing at the NFC-leading Detroit Lions in the divisional round on Saturday night.
