Today marks the 29th anniversary of TWA Flight 800 air disaster that claimed the lives of 16 Montoursville Area High School students and their five chaperones on July 17, 1996. The wreckage from the 1996 TWA Flight 800 crash investigation will be scanned into a 3-D model before it is dismantled and destroyed through a decommissioning process. The Paris-bound flight crashed soon after takeoff off from JFK Airport in New York, killing all 230 aboard.
